PUBLIC CALL

Pregrada Municipal Museum (below organiser) invites artists, curators and creatives to submit their proposals for solo and/or group exhibitions or other collaborations in our gallery space, another space/open space in 2027.

Terms and conditions

The call is intended for Croatian and foreign authors, primarily those from the Zagorje area, as well as authors whose artwork is thematically, substantively or researchly connected with Zagorje.

It is possible to apply for a solo exhibition or smaller group exhibitions and proposals for the organization of workshops, lectures and similar educational and discursive programs. The program is open to authors of all generations from Croatia and abroad. There is a possibility of financing the program through public calls for public needs in culture of the Republic of Croatia and Krapina-Zagorje County, and invited experts from abroad have the possibility of financing a short-term stay through the EU program Erasmus+.

The organizer provides a gallery space, basic technical support according to the possibilities of the space, the promotion of the exhibition through official channels, accompanying visuals and a delicate exhibition and the organization of the opening.

Applicants are responsible for the transport of works (unless otherwise agreed with the explanation), delivery of complete materials for the promotion and production of visuals and deplies (biography of the author, text about the exhibition) and copyright insurance for the displayed content.

Method of application and deadline for application

The application should contain:

• first name and surname of the author/collector
• short biography and contact details
• Description of the exhibition/collaboration project
• data on past exhibitions and planned exhibitions in 2027. (particularly in the area of Zagorje)
• description of the works to be exhibited
• visual materials (photos, sketches, links to videos, etc.)
• technical requirements and needs (widths, special spatial conditions, safety conditions, … sound system)
• information on any secured funding/intended application to a public call due to the avoidance and absence of double funding;
• information on any additional conditions

Applicants should propose the desired duration of the visit, i.e. exhibitions with an approximate duration of one to a maximum of 3 months (shorter collaborations are possible through other formats).

The application must be accompanied by:

• Preferred term
• Predicted Setup Duration
• time needed for assembly and disassembly 

The public call shall be open for a period of 60 days from the date of publication until 16 August 2026.
Applications are sent to the e-mail address muzej@pregrada.hr with the indication ‘APPLICATIONS FOR EXPOSURE OR COOPERATION WITH MGP IN 2027 – *name of the author/collector".

Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.

Details on available gallery space

Selection of applications for exhibition in the gallery

All submitted applications will be considered by members of the Friends of the Museum Club after the deadline for applying to the Public Call, which reserves the right to choose the program in accordance with:

• the quality and relevance of the notified proposal,
• spatial and technical possibilities of the gallery,
• the gallery's programming concept.

Selected applicants will be informed of the outcome upon completion of the selection process.
The realization of exhibitions and programs will be realized in 2027 in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Pregrada.
